Yard upgradation

For competent ship recycling upgradated yard is inevitable. Every yard should be neat and clean and every yard should have temporary storage. In an ideal yard there should have sufficient area for safe passage and easy movement of the fire fighting equipments, for office building, storage of non ferrous metal, open space to store segregated finished scrap, winch (2) installation, crane installation, for processing of cut pieces of ships etc. BSBRR- 2011 (Bangladesh Ship Breaking and Recycling Rules-2011) chap- iv (17.2, 17.3e, 17.4, 17.5) chap v- 18 i, ii) indicates some important points about modern yard.
